Daniel Beuster returned to Ireland in 2019 after graduating from his Masters in Choral Conducting, which he earned over a two-year period in the Estonian Academy of Music, in Tallinn. During his time there, Daniel studied choral conducting under internationally acclaimed conductor Tonu Kaljuste, orchestral conducting under chief conductor of the Estonian National Opera Juri Alperten, and score reading with Silvia Landra of the Moscow Conservatory. Alongside his Masters in Conducting, Daniel has received Masterclasses from Risto Joost, Pablo Mestre-Marquez, Toomas Kapten and Peter Erdei, in both orchestral and choral conducting.

Daniel has conducted a host of choirs in concert and competition alike, in Ireland and abroad, and with great success. Beyond Ireland and Estonia, he has performed in Belarus, Italy, Hungary, winning Gold Medal at Festival Internazionale Corale Verona, 2016 and the Gold Medal at Budapest International Choral Festival, 2017. Most recently, Daniel conducted the Estonian Premiere of Joby Talbot’s Path of Miracles, for which he formed an Estonian-Irish collaboration of 36 singers, half from either country. This concert, which was attended by the composer Joby Talbot, the Irish Ambassador to Estonia, and many of Estonia’s highly regarded musicians, earned Daniel a 1st Class Honour (Cum Laude) in his final exam recital.

Looking to the future, Daniel intends to make a return visit to Estonia to begin a more extensive tour of the Baltic countries with Talbot’s Path of Miracles. Since returning to Cork, Daniel has offered choral workshops to a number of choirs, guest-directed Comhar’s Christmas concert tour, and immersed himself in Ireland’s choral music scene. He performs regularly as a conductor and singer at home and occasionally abroad.
